All-Age Service 2017
Our lively worship service for people of all ages. Activities for pre-school and primary school children - Sundays@10 - get underway part way through the service in the Queen Margaret Hall, and a crèche is available in the coffee lounge from around 10.15am.
22 Oct @ 10am
Children and families all join together for the first part of our all-age worship at 10am. Parents/carers can then take under 3s to the coffee lounge where our creche includes some short stories from the bible, whilst children aged 3 and over are meeting in the Queen Margaret Hall for an interactive time of learning through stories, crafts, activities and more. Everyone is then invited to come back into church for the end of the service, where we share a little of what we've been learning. Coffee, juice and biscuits are available after the service.
22 Oct @ 11:30am
Morning Service 2017
Our more traditional morning service of worship.
Church of Scotland Guild
“Whose we are and Whom we serve”
The aim of the Guild is to invite and encourage women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and to enable them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action.
Strategy 2015 - 2018: Be bold, be strong.
Theme 2017: Go in Love
With over 20,000 members, the Guild is one of the largest organisations in Scotland and has a rich history of service to others. Founded in 1887 the Church of Scotland Guild has focused on serving our church, our communities and our world. It has always been a forward-thinking organisation and since 1969, around £7 million has been raised for projects national and international. These projects are challenging, sometimes controversial, but always worthwhile. This year we have presentations from two of the current projects - Prospects, promoting inclusiveness in churches for people with a learning disability, and Mission International, supporting education in Haiti.
