Children and families all join together for the first part of our all-age worship at 10am. Parents/carers can then take under 3s to the coffee lounge where our creche includes some short stories from the bible, whilst children aged 3 and over are meeting in the Queen Margaret Hall for an interactive time of learning through stories, crafts, activities and more. Everyone is then invited to come back into church for the end of the service, where we share a little of what we've been learning. Coffee, juice and biscuits are available after the service.

Teddies for Tragedies
August 2017 Update
This year’s teddies are ready to begin their journey. They will be following over 6,000 teddies and other knitted items previously sent from QPC. The teddies will soon find new owners among children who desperately need love and belonging. Come along to join us as we cheer and bless them on their way at the services on Sunday 20th August.
In the past 2 years, we have distributed teddies to Chernobyl, Romania, Haiti and Scotland. We’ve also sent teddies to children in Nepal and Malawi, along with other donated knitted itemssuch as blankets, hats, scarves, mitts and other knitwear. Blythswood Care are accepting beanie hats, scarves and mitts to add to their Christmas Box Appeal.
Through Queensferry's Nepal appeal, which started in June last year, we have sent over 2,300 donated items, made with love, by caring, generous people from all over, to children suffering from the effects of the earthquakes early last year.
This year there will be a consignment of teddies going to Moldova with our local Firemen through Fire Service and Ambulance Aid, supported by Blythswood Care, Glasgow.
Sadly there is always a need somewhere for the comfort these little teddies bring, so please keep your donations coming, whether it be the knitted teddies, blankets, hats, scarves or mitts.
Teddies for Tragedies is a knitting pattern for special teddies, which are donated annually to vulnerable children around the world. Volunteers are from all over and need not be church members.
Annual distribution of donations are normally around the end of October.
Click here for information, patterns etc.
Patterns are also held in ‘Claire Bear’s’ folder in the Hillstop Lounge, QPC.
2013 saw another bumper year of donations from kind, caring ladies, of 475 Teddies, 84 blankets, 148 hats, 42 scarves, and other knitted goods. Our annual Blessing Service was held on 3rd November and the Teddies etc started their long journey the following morning to bring love, hope and comfort to children in Malawi (the Teddies, with hugs, in drawstring bags, via The Raven Trust, Argyll), and Eastern Europe (the other knitted items via Blythswood Care, Glasgow). If you can knit, crochet and/or machine stitch, volunteers are always welcome, and needed!
